Day Twenty Five

We decided to do a small hike in the morning in a park nearby. We had slightly underestimated the temperature and humidity levels. During Ramadan you're not allowed to drink water, this made the hike a lot more difficult. The scenery was beautiful though.

After a quick shower we headed to the waterside where we got on a water taxi to head to Kampong Ayer, a water village.

Around 39.000 people live in this village and they enjoy all the modern amenities such as Air conditioning, internet and plumbing.

The village has it's own police station, fire station, mosques, schools and so on.

Besides the houses on wooden stilts, recent developments consisted of modern homes on concrete pilars.
