Bangkok

The alarm woke us up around 06:00 in the morning, we had to be ready by 06:45 to get to the tour bus. Half asleep we listened to the history of Ayutthaya, the former capital of Thailand (Ayutthaya Kingdom).

Before we arrived at Ayutthaya, we first stopped by the King's Summer Palace.

Our "under construction" curse hasn't been lifted yet.

After the summer palace we drove 30 minutes to Ayutthaya to see the temple ruins.

The face below is one of the few ones left (almost all statues were decapitated). A tree decided to grow around it.

After the ruins we made two more stops, at a temple and a(nother) reclining buddha.

It was time for lunch, on a boat that took us back to Bangkok.
